Colorist Mixer at NAB 2026 Was a Great Success

Join us at our upcoming Mixers at BIRTV and IBC.

In April, Colorist Society and iColorist hosted our 17th annual Colorist Mixer to coincide with NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas. It began a year-long celebration of Colorist Society’s 10th anniversary. The event took place Sunday, April 19 at Virgil's BBQ, drawing colorists and post-production professionals from around the world for a memorable evening of networking and fun.


Attendees enjoyed a smoked sliders station, an open bar, and the crowd-favorite Color Quiz, where guests teamed up to share fun facts about color. And, everyone had a shot at winning in our best lineup ever of raffle prizes. Winners included:

Upcoming Mixers

The next Colorist Mixer will happen on Thursday, August 20 in Beijing in association with BIRTV 2026. Tickets are available through WeChat. The final Colorist Mixer for 2026 will take place at IBC in Amsterdam on Saturday, September 12th. Make your reservations at coloristmixer.com.

CS Hollywood Members Discuss “What is Too Bright?”

Colorist Society Hollywood members recently participated in a lively panel discussion sponsored by SMPTE on the subject of brightness. Colorists John Daro, CSI, Lou Levinson, CSI and Tashi Trieu explored the deceptively simple question, “What Is Too Bright?” with colorists Sheri Eisenberg and Doug Delaney joining for the Q&A. Moderated by Colorist Society board member Sarah Priestnall, the event occurred May 27th at the Culver Theater in Culver City, California.

FilmLight Colour Awards 2026

New ‘Spotlight & Documentary’ Category

The FilmLight Colour Awards, in co-operation with Toruń CAMERIMAGE, is preparing for its sixth edition of celebrating the craft of colour grading. This year’s competition sees the introduction of several changes, designed to bring a sharper focus to the creative minds behind the world's most visually striking projects. Winners will be invited to an open panel discussion at the Camerimage Colorist Mixer on November 9th.
